Company takes honors in both COVID-19 Business Response “Team of the Year” and “Best Product to Combat and Reduce the Impact of COVID-19” categories
Indianapolis, Indiana – September 15, 2020 – hc1 announced today that CEO World Awards®, the world’s top C-Level and executive achievement awards program, has awarded CV19Dashboard.org Bronze in the Best Product to Combat and Reduce the Impact of COVID-19 category of the 8th Annual CEO World Awards. The company also took Bronze in the Team of the Year category for its rapid move to apply the innovative CV19 Lab Testing Dashboard™ powered by hc1® to improve pandemic outcomes and public safety.
CEO World Awards celebrate the achievements of leaders, executives, and their management teams behind the year’s most outstanding initiatives and achievements. This annual awards program recognizes individuals and teams who set industry benchmarks for excellence. All private and public organizations, corporations, nonprofits, associations, vendors and government organizations worldwide are eligible to enter.
“It is an honor to have the efforts of hc1 and the coalition recognized as we endeavor to improve public safety by providing local decision-makers with the highly granular, real-time insights they can use to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in their communities,” said Brad Bostic, CEO, hc1. “The wrong mitigation decisions can mean life or death for thousands of residents within a community, which is why it was so critical for us to drive local insights directly to those tasked with intervening to protect their citizens.”
Launched by hc1, a national coalition of commercial and health system laboratories spanning more than 20,000 lab ordering locations, and technology partners, CV19Dashboard.org equips public health agencies and healthcare organizations with easy-to-use dashboards providing detailed lab testing insights. The CV19 Lab Testing Dashboard, which is publicly available at no cost, was created to help close the COVID-19 information gap by providing accurate, real-time lab testing insights—including the only side-by-side view of COVID-19 viral and antibody testing, as well as local-risk and age-group trending—at the national, state and hyperlocal levels. This data also informs the hc1 Local Risk Index™ (LRI), which gives local decision-makers a chance to adequately prepare for a possible surge in COVID-19 infections in the next 5-21 days. This is a significant improvement over popular heat maps and dashboards that display public health data primarily reflecting sick/hospitalized patients and reported deaths—typically with a lag time of 7-14 days.
Creating the dashboard aligns closely with hc1’s vision of improving lives with high-value care through its creative solutions, however its COVID-19 innovations did not stop there. The company has leveraged its Platform and reach to launch an array of solutions to help mitigate the virus’s spread and help ensure residents of communities and micro-communities (e.g. workplaces and schools) can stay safe and healthy. These include hc1 Workforce Advisor™, the only return-to-work solution for employers that measures and reports the risk of COVID-19 infection both at the workplace and in the communities where employees reside. It securely integrates real-time lab results, local risk and symptoms into a Command Center that enables employers to implement and monitor systematic lab testing and symptom checking guidelines for employees that are consistent with national and local best practices. Using a secure, HIPAA-compliant process, results are organized and trends are displayed in easy-to-use dashboards sorted by employee and workplace location. It also includes a Digital ID to assess and monitor adherence to COVID-19 policies, and a mobile app that enables entrance control and exposure notice.
hc1 CV19 Advisor™, which is currently in beta testing, leverages lab data, diagnosis codes, and current medications to help healthcare organizations ensure that COVID-19 patients receive proper monitoring, lab work and medications. By tracking and trending lab results and prescriptions for recovered patients, the solution identifies those who are trending toward risk and provides alerts for monitoring and intervention to ensure safe and effective long-term management of the condition—and possibly prevent a second wave of complications and underlying medical conditions that will challenge the care of millions of individuals across the U.S.
Judges from a broad spectrum of industry voices from around the world participated, and their average scores determined the 2020 award winners. Winners will be celebrated and presented their awards during a virtual awards ceremony in November.
